Moore has charted a total of twelve entries on Billboard Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay including the number-one " Somethin' 'Bout a Truck " and four additional top-ten hits. He has two brothers and three sisters. Their father died in September , just months before the release of Moore's debut album. He began playing guitar while attending Wallace State Community College in Hanceville, Alabama , and made his first public performance at a Mellow Mushroom restaurant in Valdosta, Georgia. After college, he moved to a "little hut" in Hawaii , where he also took up backpacking and surfing. On September 27, , he released his second single, " Somethin' 'Bout a Truck ". The song was followed by the release of his debut album Up All Night in April A month later, "Somethin' 'Bout a Truck" hit number 1 on the Billboard country charts. These songs also reached the country Top 5. Moore co-wrote two tracks on Thompson Square 's self-titled debut album which was released in February "All the Way" and "Let's Fight", the latter of which was their debut single.
As it turns out, he was wrong. In a recent interview, the singer explains that the project's final track list is still up in the air -- though, he adds on Twitter , that doesn't mean its release will be delayed. But the thing is that I never stopped writing, and now I have fallen in love with some new stuff that I have written," Moore tells Taste of Country. I couldn't sing it. I kept breaking down and I couldn't sing it. I was having a really tough time singing that lyric that day, but I got it out. I finally got it done. A song about his regrets, Moore says the whole song has grown in meaning since he first wrote it, especially when singing of his father. The pair have been writing songs together since they first moved to Nashville well over a decade ago and this time around their writing process was different than past albums.
By the time soundcheck was over, Davis sent him a rapid fire of lyrics that Moore would later put on paper and send back to him. The collaborators wrote the song via text before Moore returned to Nashville and finished the track together. He knows. Wild World is an apt title in the age of the coronavirus pandemic, which Moore has witnessed the repercussions of firsthand with the cancelation of an Australian headlining tour.
The singer-songwriter says he and his team have been planning the album announcement over the past four months ahead of the coronavirus headlines.
